Electrical Engineer
Location: St. Albans, Vermont
Description: Catamount Research and Development, Inc. seeks a qualified candidate to fill a position for an Electrical Engineer in the Engineering Department of a growing biomedical instrumentation company. Primary responsibilities include sustaining engineering support for existing products, developing electronics for new product designs, test engineering, manufacturing support, and engineering/ manufacturing documentation.
Requirements: A minimum of five years experience as an Electrical Engineer in an electro-mechanical design and manufacturing environment is required. You must have skills in the complete product development cycle from initial design specifications through complete manufacturing documentation. Desired skills include: analog and digital circuit design, schematic capture, analog PCB layout, embedded system development, firmware development, test engineering, and detailed engineering and manufacturing documentation.
Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

Machinist
Location: St. Albans, Vermont
Description: Catamount Research and Development, Inc. seeks a qualified candidate to fill a position for a machinist in the engineering department of a growing biomedical instrumentation company. Primary responsibilities include operating CNC and traditional machines to produce quality prototype and production parts. The position will involve interpreting blueprints and tolerances, generating CNC code, designing jigs and fixtures, building assemblies, and operating equipment, including CNC Vertical Mills, Manual Vertical Mills, and Lathes.
Requirements: The position requires someone with knowledge of machining practices including tool selection, and feeds and speeds. Also required is knowledge of G-Code. Familiarity with CAM programs is a plus. Ability to verify accuracy of parts will be necessary through the use of common measurement tools and techniques.
Education: The candidate must have significant training in the machining trade.

Electronic Process Technician
Location: St. Albans, Vermont
Description:Electronic Technician needed to provide support to the Manufacturing Department. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Apply electrical theory and related knowledge to testing, troubleshooting and repairing analog and digital circuits using common test equipment such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.
- Assemble and tests experimental motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, electrical equipment and components according to Engineering data.
- Modify electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under the direction of the Electrical Engineering department.
- Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion.
- Plan, direct, and record periodic electrical testing, and recommend initiatives, modifications, or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
- Customer technical support, (RMA)
- Reading and understanding schematics, engineering drawings and bills of material.
Other duties, responsibilities, and directives that may be assigned by management are expected to be performed.
Requirements:- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum three years experience as an Electronic Technician in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
- Excellent surface mount soldering skills
- Experience using common hand tools
- Strong computer skills in common PC applications such as MS Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to learn new task
Education: Associates degree in Electrical Engineering

Electric Engineering Technician
Location: St. Albans, Vermont
Description: Catamount Research and Development, Inc. seeks a qualified candidate to fill a position for an Electrical Engineering Technician in the Engineering Department of a growing biomedical instrumentation company. This technician will work closely with electrical design engineers to develop new products and improve our existing product lines. Responsibilities will include converting electrical schematics to printed circuit board layouts, assembling and testing electronic circuits, performing troubleshooting, and composing engineering documentation.Other duties, responsibilities, and directives that may be assigned by management are expected to be performed.
Requirements: A qualified candidate will be able to interpret electrical schematics, and will have experience with laying out PCBs, and composing bills of materials. Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office and composition of instructional documents.Education:This position requires an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or sufficient relevant experience.
